The Italian automaker demanded that McBurnie and the Miami Vice team shouldn’t build other Ferrari replicas and stop filming the bogus cars. Needless to say that Ferrari filed a lawsuit against McBurnie and other crew members. Imagine wearing a bogus Louis Vuitton bag in Gossip Girl or The O.C., Bernard Arnault and the entire LVMH Moët Hennessy board would immediately go into crisis mode. Interestingly enough, the replica managed to appear in two complete Miami Vice seasons. The 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder wasn’t a genuine Ferrari, but a replica, which got production in hot waters with the Italian car manufacturer. But the majority of viewers are unaware of a problem with the car. Watching Miami Vice obsessively, it is almost impossible not to love the 1972 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder featured in the hit series. ![]()
